Tacos Locos is a Mexican-style food business serving both Mexican and local South African flavours in our food.
Established in 2015, we started in markets and grew to using our very own food truck for corporate and private catering and events. Recently, we expanded to open up our first eat-in and takeaway shop in Observatory, Cape Town.
At first glance, we might seem like your average Mexican-style establishment...but we like to keep things loco at Tacos Locos. We offer an urban take on Mexican street food and create recipes that are steered towards market trends and local flavours.

Large butter beans cooked until soft and tender in our tomato relish and smoked chipotle sauce, topped with feta cheese, fried onion, sour cream and coriander.
Sliced mushroom served with cucumber, tomato and melted cheddar cheese. Topped with fried chilli bites, marinara sauce, sour cream and fresh coriander.
Slow cooked for 8 hours, this classic is served on tangy coleslaw, topped with homemade BBQ sauce, scorched corn and spring onion/tomato salsa.
Steak mince, cooked in our chilli taco spice and homemade tomato sauce, finished off with cheddar cheese, sour cream, fresh salsa and coriander.
Sliced rump steak sprinkled with our philly spice, served with melted cheddar cheese, sautéed green pepper and onion, drizzled with a splash of burnt tomato marinara and fresh coriander.

All burritos are served on a base of cumin-spiced rice wrapped in a flour tortilla.
